Communication Coaching Services

The strategy of an organization can only be executed with communication that is itself strategic in purpose and form.

Keany Communications provides high-level communications coaching in key presentation skills, media training, and executive "in-the-moment skills" for individuals and groups at top levels of management and in all industries.
We help align the leader with the message to ensure results.

Presentation Skills

Public speaking remains the number one fear of Americans, yet it is the most preferred method of communicating information to a large group of people in business today. It is a critical skill for all top-level managers and leaders.

Our high-level presentation training takes clients through all stages of public speaking, beginning with the development of the story, the message, audience anaylsis and delivery of the speech to the proper use of visuals and question and answer preparation.

Our goal is to change business presentations from tedious, uncomfortable situations into opportunities for managers and executives to showcase their passion, expertise and competence.

As with all our services, our high-level presentation training is customized to take advantage of each client's style and strengths. We do not produce "Barbie and Ken Doll" spokespeople. Rather we emphasize the importance of content, clarity of expression, brevity, organization, audience analysis and dynamic, poised communication skills that inspire people to action.

Our clients complete this program with greater confidence, specific techniques for constructing compelling presentations, and a more persuasive delivery style.

Media Training

Effectively communicating your story and your message to the public via the media is as critical a skill as it is complex. Broadcast, online and print outlets are powerful prisms that can reflect tremendous value to you and your organization. They can also torpedo your best efforts if not handled carefully. Quite frankly, the stakes are high and training is essential.

All of our media training is conducted by Keany Communications founder LeeAundra Keany who has deveoped a unique understanding of media from both sides - she has been the one asking the questions as a former tv producer and print journalist and perhaps more important, she has been the one answering them as a nationally recognized media commentator. This comprehensive view of how media shapes communication makes her training especially effective and valuable. Her media training clients are remarkably diverse ranging from a former Secretary of the Army to a Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Model to a best-seling author to one of the world's best known actors-activists to the CEO's and presidents of some of the world's largest companies.

The training begins with an indepth analysis of the brand image and how to best align their personal voice with the message and vision. We then work to execute the image through compelling media friendly content and mediagenic delivery.

Media training clients will complete the training with a firmer grasp of the reporter/media mindset, how to build relationships with the media, the differences between print, broadcast and online forums, how to create and deliver meaningful messages and memorable sound bites, and how to appear comfortable, confident and above all, authentic in front of a camera, microphone and interviewer. It includes extensive "on-camera" training.

The goal is to leverage the power of the media to your advantage so your vision can be communicated accurately to a wider audience.

Executive Presence "In-the-Moment Skills"

About 95% of communication in business today is "in-the-moment", situations where thoughtful, informed statements are required immediately in response to questions and requests for information, opinions and advice. The ability to "think on one's feet" is widely seen as the most important communications needs in executives as they deal with employees, shareholders and the media, and the public at large.

In spite of this, most communication training ignores the critical need for impromptu speaking skills. Our "In-the-Moment" program was designed to specifically target these areas and help executives develop the ability to deliver clear, focused and compelling messages in-the-moment.

The program emphasizes critical thinking, social agility, non-verbal communication and dynamic delivery. A comprehensive assessment of these areas is followed by skills-based exercises in one-on-one coaching sessions.

Clients who complete the program respond more quickly and confidently while adding true value to the discussion.

what clients say...

If you've heard my talk, you know how adamant I am about taking advice from only someone who has "walked the walk". LeeAundra has walked the walk and is truly an expert. She has a gift. She has taken me to new levels and is giving me the poise and polish I need to make it to the highest levels of professional speaking. I give her two thumbs up!

Ruben Gonzalez - Four-Time Olympian, Peak Performance Expert, Nationally Recognized Professional Speaker

I cannot thank you enough for the most inspiring, brilliant conference. Everyone here is so very happy with what they learned and we can't wait to put your teachings into practice. You really are amazing.

Clare Cameron, Senior Campaign Manager. Leukemia and Lymphoma Society - Greater Los Angeles Chapter

You are a spectacular teacher because you really understand human beings and how they work and how well they respond to the positive energy which you exude like a fountain!

Ted Morgan - Author, How to Marry a Multi-Millionaire

LeeAundra is one those rare individuals that really thinks about presentation structure and content, using rhetorical strength to build the credibility of the speaker . She is not afraid to buck the "common wisdom" that is just faddish and fashionable. The exercises and methods she uses build the strength and relevance of your arguments, instead of just adding feel good stylings and television tricks to a presenter.
